Global Agri, Food & Health Updates - 14April'15 !

1. The New Zealand dairy fund has closed on $300m after getting commitments from 100% institutional investors including Swedish pension fund AP Fonden 1.

2. Farmland and agribusiness investment manager Teays River is set for $500m of new commitments, after MainePERS approved a $200m commitment and Washington State Investment Board votes on a further $300m.

3. Abraaj collects almost $1bn for sub-Saharan Africa.

4. Cargill Meat Solutions is recalling almost 8,300 pounds of ground beef that may be contaminated with blue string, according to the USDA's Food Safety and Inspection Service (USDA-FSIS).

5. The nuts and spices contamination scandal is continuing to affect companies across Europe. France, Belgium, UK and Denmark recalled for products contaminated.

6. Salt and fat content in processed foods could be reduced by altering food pore size - without affecting the taste, say scientists.
