Global Agri, Food & Health updates - 16June'15 !

1. The Clean Energy Finance Corporation will supply small- and large-scale loans of up to $5m, for projects including more efficient irrigation, waste-to-energy plants and solar installations for Australian Agri-Business.

2. Family owned Perdue AgriBusiness has acquired the US business of Technology Crops International to expand its speciality crops business.

3. The packaging industry will see a 20-30% growth rate for bio plastic producers by 2020, driven by the likes of the Coca-Cola plant bottle, according to Innovia Films.

4. The UK government should seriously consider taxing unhealthy foods and drinks to reduce their consumption, a paper from the Food Research Collaboration (FRC) has urged.
