Global Agriculture, Food & Health updates - 04July'15 !

1. European commission has launched a Euro71K proposal for a feasibility study on Solar Energy for the food Industry and 2 CPVT food processing demo plants will be built.

2. The Schmersal Group has seen an above-average increase in demand for packaging and food machines from the BRIC countries (Brazil, Russia, India and China) and is expanding its Brazil subsidiary food production business this year.

3. Seasonal and promotional variations are the main challenge in the distribution of confectionery products, and will further drive just-in-time delivery in the future, says the Nagel Group.

4. SIG Combibloc has confirmed it will spend $70m to expand its carton packaging capacity by 40% in Brazil.
