1. With the introduction of Noodle's by Baba Ramdev's Patanjali group, the market has heated up.

2. Ahead of the World Trade Organisation’s 10th Ministerial in Nairobi from December 15-18, hundreds of big farmer organisations across India have urged the government not to give in to pressure by rich nations to cap subsidies.

3. With pulses supplies improving but prices still ruling comparatively high, the Centre has released over ₹90 crore to various agencies (FCI, NAFED, SFAC) for procurement to create a buffer stock.

4. The National Dairy Development Board (NDDB) – which started the initiative of marketing pulses – aims to create a strong brand that offers quality pulses in the country, as it looks to scale it up with a long-term view.
