1. Bt cotton accounts for 60 per cent to 70 per cent of the total turnover of the rapidly growing seed industry in the country.

2. Japan International Cooperation Agency(JICA) to fund Rs 1,787-crore  Rengali Left Bank Canal irrigation project in Odisha.

3. At 278.48 lakh tonnes, India has produced 16% higher sugar in 2014-15 over the previous year. Further Sugarcane price arrears cross Rs 21,000 crore in 2014-15 season.

4. Government sanctions 30 cold chain projects with Rs 725 crore outlay.
